The field should remain readable.
Skip to main content is the first control on every page. Primary navigation works from the keyboard. Focus is visible, and a sticky header will not swallow it. Touch targets are at least forty-four pixels, which exceeds the WCAG 2.2 minimum of twenty-four.

What is applied
Ordinary text meets 4.5:1 against Night and Paper. Large titles exceed 3:1. The atlas can be resized to 200 percent in the browser without a locked viewport. Read also offers 16, 18, 20, and 24 pixel type, a high-contrast field, still motion, and roomier spacing.
Nothing here is dragged as the only way in. Eve can be sought by clicking the track, by Back and Forward, or with the arrow keys. The Read desk traps the keyboard until it is closed.
Theme
Night outside. Paper on the desk.
The opening field stays night. After Enter, choose Paper (light) or Night (dark). System follows the device. Saved on this device. Paper is ivory and charcoal, not beige. Night is #0F1115, not brown.
Ordinary prose stays on a readable measure. Wide diagrams stack at high zoom and on a phone. Relationship figures have a list that says the same thing in words. Color is never the only signal.
Use Read in the header for type size (16, 18, 20, or 24 pixels), higher contrast, still motion, and roomier spacing.
On a home screen
The atlas can sit beside your other books.
Add FIELD 42 to the home screen when the browser offers it. It opens as itself, not as a tab. Eve remembers where the listening stopped on this device. Selected Eve recordings can play when the network is thin. The pages themselves still come from the field.
